How to Attract High-Stakes Gamblers

Casino

Casinos are a place where people strut their stuff and hope to win big. Whether they’re seasoned pros or beginners, the excitement and energy of the games and people around them is enough to get anyone’s adrenaline pumping. But, despite the good vibes and cheering music, there’s no denying that gambling is a risky proposition. The odds are against you, and if luck (or skill, or karma) isn’t on your side, you’ll leave with a bad feeling in your stomach.

From a business standpoint, casinos know that the best way to increase their profits is by targeting high-stakes gamblers. These “high rollers” are often given complimentary rooms, meals, tickets to shows, or even limo service and airline tickets depending on how much they spend at the casino. This is referred to as comping, and casinos will often have specific areas of the casino dedicated to higher-stakes players in order to attract them.

Robert De Niro’s icy coldness as Sam Rothstein is the backbone of Casino, but it’s Sharon Stone who steals the show. She captivates the viewer with her opulent beauty and ability to seduce men. From the start of her scene in a glitzy money counting room to her sexy crooning during a baseball bat-beating sequence that Scorsese thankfully trimmed to avoid an NC-17 rating, she’s nothing short of unforgettable.

While you may be a hot spot for locals looking to have some fun, it’s important to remember that your audience is constantly evolving. The games and entertainment options that are popular today are likely to be different five or ten years from now, and you want to be positioned to attract future guests with your marketing efforts.
